Some concepts are way off the charts when it comes to realism, and practicality while others are pretty much doable. Take a look at the specifications of this next generation iPhone 3G and let us know whether it can be achieved or not in the near future without being a burden on your already beleaguered bank accounts. We think the former is possible, although the latter doesn't look like changing anytime soon, next generation iPhone 3G or not.Titanium and glass

iPhone 4G 2010 concept
The iPhone 4G has new updated features: OLED display passed for clarity and superior contrast, it also has 3.2 megapixel camera and video function, a camera for iChat is on the front, and the internal memory increased to 32GB.
We hope that we'll see the new 4G iPhone sooner and that it will be a cool gadget like the others that we already have been seen by now.

How to Back Up your iPhone without using iTunes.
The iPhone has a fully functional SysV-style Unix file system on it... meaning that, from Cydia, you can install an OpenSSH daemon and Terminal app for your iPhone, and then do WHATEVER you want with it. Once the Terminal is installed, you'll find that most file and network commands you'd get on the Mac are available on the iPhone. That makes it a Unix box in your pocket, meaning that you can script any damn thing you want it to do, just like you could do in the Terminal on your Mac or Linux box.
Long story short -- I'm currently using WinSCP to backup the entire filesystem on my iPhone to my laptop. As of 5 mins from now, though, I'll have the iPhone added to the network auto-backup script on my Linux box. WooHoo!!
Google for "rsync", and you'll see what I mean. :)

Lockinfo app is not free anymore?
Boo mr. Ashman! I have downloaded it as free open source app almost a year ago and now all of the sudden you charging me 11 NZD? That sucks! As I love my lockscreen appearance I have spend good part of the night to find a solution for it.
One of the solutions was to install crack lockinfo 1.0.113_cracked.deb and another to install backed up files of previous working version of lockinfo (please refer to http://xsellize.com/showthread.php?t=64857&page=2).The solution with crack worked only for few hours then it stopped so I needed to respring it again and again in order to make it work.
I ended up uninstalling lockinfo including crack file. and cleaning up all lockinfo files (see txt file How_to_restore_lockinfo) After this Ive downloaded files given below and dropped them into locations given above by LEXS1411; 01-October-2009 at 03:44 PM.. Thanks a lot LEXS1411!!

Tips about how to do something dead simple on the iPhone
Every once in a while I get asked about how to do something dead simple on the iPhone, such as moving icons around. To most of us, this is very basic stuff, but not everyone knows everything about the iPhone, which is why I decided to write a post with 10 tips and tricks.
Shake to Undo
When you are writing an email or a note, you can shake your iPhone to undo what you just wrote. If you just deleted some text from the note or the email, you can also shake to undo and it will bring back the text you accidentally deleted. Note that this feature works for every application that allows you to input text (ie SMS, Tweetie, etc…)
Quickly Silence or Send Incoming Call to Voicemail
If you are receiving a phone call you don’t want to answer, you can press the power button or any volume buttons once to mute the ringing. Now if you want to send the person calling you directly to voicemail, simply press the power button twice.
Zooming on Images in Safari
To quickly zoom on an image in the Safari web browser, simply double tap on the image.
Zooming on Text in Safari
Just like you can zoom on images, you can zoom on text in Safari by double tapping it. If you are on a website with multiple columns (such as the New York Times website), it will zoom in the column, making it easy for you to read what’s in it.
Save or Copy an Image
You can easily save images from virtually any application (ie Safari, Mail, Twitter app, etc…) by holding your finger on the image and selecting “Save Image” or “Copy”. If you select to save the image, it will be saved in your camera roll.
Quickly Go Back to the Top of A Page
In any application, if you are scrolling down (ie scrolling down a web page in Safari) and you quickly want to go back to the top of the page, you don’t have to scoll up. Simply tap the status bar (this is where the time is displayed) and it will take you all the way up the page.
Preview Links
When browsing a web page for example, you may see a link to another page. If you are curious to see where this links may take you without having to open it, simply put and hold your finger on it. It will show you the destination of the link, also giving you the opportunity to open it, open it in a new page or even copy the link.
Save Time Typing Domain Names
When you are in Safari and you want to go to another web page, you don’t have to type the full URL. For example, if you want to go to http://www.tunethatup.com from Safari, just type tunethatupand the “www.” and “.com” will be added automatically.
Take a Screenshot
You can take a screenshot of any screen on your iPhone by simply holding the Power and Home button together. You will see your screen flashing and making the camera noise. The photo will be saved in your camera roll.
Add Your Favorite Websites to Your Springboard
If you have favorite sites that you visit all the time, it might be a good idea to add them to your springboard (the main screen where all the apps are). To do this, simply go to the webpage you want to add to your springboard, tap “+” at the bottom, and choose “Add to Home Screen”. This will create an icon on your home screen and you’ll be able to access this page quickly, without having to open Safari first.

My iPhone's extraordinary powers.
Hi everyone, here is a video proof of what my iPhone 3G can do that no any standard iPhone can.
Why does not your iPhone support very basic features like bluetooth to share pictures, ability to watch and download files from web, install open source applications change themes and a lot more? Obviously because these are not profitable for Apple. Look at their built-in "chopped tail" bluetooth. It functionality restricted to only use apple bluetooth accessories like headset. Apple ties your hands up with iTunes so you can not even upload/download your own photos or music without been watched. This is why I am here to show you My iPhone's extraordinary powers.

Downloader
YourTube for the iPhone, download YouTube video's direct to your iPhone

For those of you with jail-broken iPhones and wish to download You Tube video's - you may wish to take a look at YourTube which looks cool. "For starters, it's A PART OF YouTube.app. Well, technically it's an extension using MobileSubstrate (saurik's magic doorway to the iPhone for devs), built by pumpkin - point being, it integrates seamlessly with YouTube.app. And it works beautifully... With YourTube installed, I just open YouTube.app, and find the video like I would normally. Click on the little blue arrow next to the video (which is always there), and... what's this? A new button in the top right - download. Press that, and (if there's multiple qualities up) I'm asked if I'd like to download the High Quality or Low Quality version of the app. Well thanks, YourTube, I'll take the High Quality version. "

Why would I jailbreak my iPhone?
If you wish to have fully functional Bluetooth, ability to download right from Safari browser or You Tube, be able to use few applications without one interrupting another and a lot more then read following...

First and my personal favorite is lock-screen calendar and weather report. This is free Cydia app "IYellow Gruppled Lockscreen" you can find in Cydia. To make it functional you'd also need to install Cydia's "lockscreen info".

Video Eyewear
The recently announced Vuzix Wrap 310 attempts to put some chic back into the video eyewear category, which makes you wonder why no one thought to fashion their video visors as sunglasses at the very start. This stylish wearable gadget offers two high-resolution video displays that are able to project a 55-inch image size and comes with removable noise isolating earphones. The device runs on 2 AA batteries (up to 6 hours) and accepts video from almost any video player, including the iPod and iPhone.Price: $249.95 (USD)

Gruppled theme
This theme based on Gruppled theme from Cydia.

I use to change my theme from one to another every week until I've got this one. It based on Cydia's "Gruppled theme". Nice, transparent, love it so much. It have a lot of icons for almost all of the most popular apps. I also added one extra (5th) row and removed icon logos using "WinterBoard" that coming with Cydia by default. If anyone is interested I can explain how to create custom icons. This is easy.

FM on your iPhone?
Your iPod has FM. Why not your iPhone?
This exact app is in the works for the iPhone.
Supposedly we're all waiting on the integration of MobileMusicStore (iTunes.app) with this - basically, if you're listening to a station in the US that supports tagging, you'll be listening to a song, tap an info button or something to grab all the info on that song, and be able to click to purchase it straight from your iPhone/iPod Touch. The iPhone/iPod Touch have been able to receive FM for a while now - it's how they talk to the Nike+ line of products. Turning that on for device owners to listen to the radio would be great, and also a ton of additional revenue for Apple and artists. Or at least Apple and labels.
Their source mentions iPod.app might even see some FM functionality before the release of Radio.app proper.
